No two Imagine sessions look the same, because no two imaginations do. Some kids want to charge through a field as a brave knight. Others want to twirl as a butterfly queen or whisper secrets to a dragon that only they can see. I follow your child's lead — guiding them into the story they've already dreamed up, then capturing it as it unfolds.
The best Imagine portraits aren't posed at all. They're a child fully inside their own world, and me quietly there to capture it.
Cinematic Light & Deep Colors
Every Imagine session is built around light that matches the story. A pirate adventure at sunset gets warm, golden tones. A fairy tale in the garden gets soft, dreamy light. A medieval knight on the red rocks gets bold, dramatic contrast.
My edits stay true to color, so a light pastel costume in a bright meadow will read light and whimsical, while a deep jewel-toned costume against red rock or shadowed trees will read rich and cinematic. The goal is always the same: make the final image feel like a still from your child's favorite story.
What To Wear
This is where Imagine sessions get really fun. Instead of coordinating outfits, we're building a costume or concept together — pirate, princess, explorer, woodland fairy, whatever your child has been dreaming about. I'll help you think through color, texture, and props that photograph beautifully against the location we choose, and I'm always happy to brainstorm ideas if your child has a character or story in mind but you're not sure how to bring it to life.
